Even though the semester is over (or almost over) for us, there are still opportunities out there to earn some money for college! I have compiled a list of ten scholarships to apply for by the end of May!

p.s. – All of the deadlines are May 31st, so if you are a procrastinator like me, there is still hope!

1. AED Superstore Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Due Date: May 31
  • Requirements: Must be a U.S. resident, high school senior or college student, and must write either a 500-word essay or create a 3-minute video

2. Babcock Law Firm Essay Contest

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be a U.S. resident registered at a U.S. university, write a 500-word essay with the given prompt

3. Belk Tile Scholarship

  • Amount: $500
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be a high school senior, or college student (graduate students too!) attending a U.S. school, write an essay, supply transcripts/proof of enrollment, supply resume

4. CIP Scholarship

This scholarship seriously took me less than 15 minutes to complete!

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be 17 or older and currently in college or will be in college in the next year, must write a VERY short “essay” (less than 150 words!)

5. Cottage Inn Scholarship

  • Amount: $500 – $2,500 (3 winners yay!)
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be residents of the U.S., min. High School GPA of 3.0, accepted into a U.S. university, must write an essay, and provide proof of transcript + proof of acceptance

6. Crown and Caliber Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or U.S. permanent residents. Must write an essay, show proof of at least 60 volunteer hours, a letter of recommendation, and provide 2-3 references

7. Fifth Month Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be at least 13 years old, be resident of the U.S., be currently enrolled or plan to enroll in a college/university in the next 5 years, must write a short essay (250 words or less)

8. Pursuing a Positive Impact Scholarship

  • Amount: $3,000
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be a high school senior, undergraduate student, or graduate student studying in the U.S., must have a 3.0 GPA, must write an essay, provide a resume, and provide a transcript from their current institution

9. Safe Driving Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • Requirements: Must be a high school senior or a college student studying in the U.S., must have a 3.0 GPA, must write an essay, provide a resume, and provide a transcript to prove GPA

10. ServiceMaster by Glenn Scholarships

This scholarship is great because it actually has two components! There is a video submission for $500 and an infographic submission for $500!

  • Amount: $1,000 (500 for each contest)
  • Due Date: 5/31
  • General Requirements: Must be a high school senior or college student from Florida, must be attending a FL trade school or university
  • Video Requirements: Must be between 2-4 minutes long and must demonstrate knowledge on how to prepare for a hurricane/flooding disaster, must stay on ServiceMaster by Glenn’s branding
  • Infographic Requirements: Must create an infographic demonstrating knowledge on hurricane preparedness in a creative manner, must stay on ServiceMaster by Glenn’s branding

Overall, I hope you can find at least one scholarship from this list that you consider applying for! If not, don’t worry I will be posting another list of scholarships next month as well!

p.s. – I won’t lie, as I was doing research for this post I ended up applying for a few of these scholarships because some of them are SUPER easy.
